Spanlift machinery sheds provide a protected, dry haven for farm machinery. We have built literally hundreds of farm machinery sheds.
Consider if yours should be fully enclosed to provide complete protection and security or three sided to shield the weather. Talk to us regarding your access requirements. Some farmers need extra-large openings for boom sprays and harvesters – we cater for this by a column removal, allowing for up to 18m wide clear access. Our columns, being manufactured from heavy structural steel are nudge resistant – you won’t knock your shed over with that accidental bump! Every farmer knows that shedded machinery operates better and is worth far more when the time comes to trade it in.
Our design consultants will work with you to help you determine where to put doors on your shed – we know how hard it is to back an air seeder, so we give consideration to putting doors on the rear wall of the shed, enabling drive through bays, making it a lot easier to store. We also check what your daylight opening needs to be, to ensure the door height is high enough for all of your machinery to fit inside your new shed! We also help you with working out where it should be positioned and work around issues like driveway access, traffic flow, staff location etc.
Do you want to put a workshop in one end of your shed? We can put in internal walls to separate your equipment and your workshop, allowing for a secure lockup section. We also put in a concrete plinth connection to the walls to help stop water ingress and make it vermin proof. Our sheds are designed so rain can easily be collected in tanks, to provide you with a water source. Our unique guttering system is designed to avoid damage to downpipes, and can be internally plumbed to a tank.
