Walls

Iron

The most common type of wall in a steel framed building is an iron wall.

They are typically supported by wall girts and roof purlins, into which the iron is fastened.

Many different iron types and profiles are available;

Corrugated, Trimdek®, zinc, galvanised, Colorbond® and Colorbond Ultra®.

Walls

Fire-rated

There are several different types of fire rated walls. One of the more common types is Gyprock Fyrchek™ or Gyprock FlamechekMR™ mounted between wall girts and iron.

If the wall is a boundary wall it will have to have a (90/90 /90) fire rating. This is achievable with several different methods. Discuss your requirements with us today.

Walls

Dado

A dado wall is when the lower section of the wall is different to the top section.

This is usually concrete dado (lower) panel and iron upper section. Dado walls are commonly used for security reasons, however they are also used for storage requirements e.g. Dump-N-Store buildings.

Walls

Tilt-panel

Tilt panel walls are walls constructed from concrete. These panels are usually pre-cast offsite, then lifted by crane into position once the structure of the building is standing.
