Construction

There are many different ways sheds can be built. Some companies offer turn-key contracts (building completely finished).
At Spanlift we are shed building specialists. We believe that it is best for you to use local contractors to finish your building. This results in the best quality job at a fair price.
Everybody enjoys watching the construction of their new building. Not all of the following points may apply to your building, but you can tick off the boxes as you watch Spanlift.
Typically the order goes something like this:
- Place your order for a quality shed from Spanlift
- Organise earthworks for pad, including a 3m clearance around the perimeter of the building for scissor lift access
- Spanlift will manufacture your shed with continual quality checks
- Spanlift will contact you regarding a scheduled delivery time
- Ensure that your site is ready for building crew, i.e. toilet, power, etc.
- Steel work and iron delivered to site
- Erection will start on-site, the first thing we do is the footings
- Roof and steelwork assembled on the ground ready for lifting
- Roof lift. Spanlift will contact you regarding time and date as this is often interesting to watch
- Clad walls
- Fit doors
- Install flashings and finishing touches
- Shed is now finished and ready for your own local contractors
- Concrete floor (by your contractor). It is always best to do the floor once the shed is finished. It helps seal from dust and vermin
- Electric wiring and fit out (by your contractor)
- Office and toilet fit outs (by your contractor)
- Move in and enjoy!
- Spanlift will make contact with you to ensure that you are satisfied with your new building
